Welcome to the beach holiday, no watches, no worries, no clock, no cares, no deadlines, no drama....

For Alex this was her first ever beach & all inclusive holiday......Ray he's however a bit of a expert ha.

Our best friends invited us to go to Cancun with them as a reward for to me and Chloe after a grueling hard 3 years of university, we graduated and we deserved this.

The best thing about going on holiday for us is that frankie and bennys breakfast and that nice bottle of Corona while you wait for the plane. Even better that we had managed to upgrade our seats on the plane.......Yes have you seen the Thomson Dreamliner planes well them swanky seats at the front they were heaven. Still to this day the best seats on a plane we have ever had!! And we have flown with a lot of airlines.

I had never been before to a place where the water was so clear and beautiful. What was even better was sunbathing all day with all we could drink and eat (You have to face it, you literally eat and drink more than your body weight when you go on holiday) but it was amazing!

We stayed in the Riu Cancun which had only just opened a few months before we arrived, it was perfect. A top 5 star hotel, with 3 swimming pools and 1 infinity pool. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, the buffet, Italian, Steakhouse, Sports Bar, Martini Bar and more. Our favourite had to be the steakhouse though but make sure you book them a few nights in advance or the day before as you can't just turn up, well you couldnt when we went but not sure if thats because it was really busy.

We did a lot of activities when we were in Cancun as the four of us. Well some times poor Chloe and Chris has no choice because we forced them to do it all but they loved it all in the end. We did:

- Night out in Coco Bongos (A MUST) I had never been to anywhere like this before, I wish we had night clubs in England like this.

- As well as swimming with Dolphins, Sharks & Manatees. I actually found the Dolphin swim hard as it was in the sea and was really wavey, the guide was telling us to swim out with the board and we both felt like we were getting swept the other way. The sharks was interesting they stay at the bottom (Thank goodness) but least we can say we swam with sharks. The Manatees though, the only way to describe them is like huge walrus's you'd think we would be less scared of these as they only eat Fruit and Veg but no every time this massive slimey Manatee stroked mine and Chloes legs we were both screaming and hugging each other like we were about to get eaten by a crocodile......hilarious haha.

- Hooters for a night out. Yes Raymond choose this has his birthday night out I wonder why haha. But truthfully sorry guys its nothing like the films, they dont get there boobs out or throw water over each other. There just fabulous attractive ladies serving you food and drinks all night. In fact poor Ray & Chris were left disappointed when one of the ladies (not the one in the photo) appeared to have a thing for Chloe, Chloe got drinks straight away, compliments on her hair, outfit, smile, yes looks like Hooters may not be just a place for boys to perv haha. But bonus we actually went back to Hooters and sat there playing Jenga all night with beers, concentration for that game you could hear a pin drop.

- The Pirate Ship - The pirate ship is a must. The pirates take you on there pirate ship and do a show, while you drink and watch then you get food as well as get drunk with the pirates. Then you watch the pirates fight with another pirate ship. Our ship obviously won though, go our ship of pirates!

- Chichen Itza - 1 of the 7 wonders of the world complete. It took a while on the coach to get here and I think we must of chosen the hottest day ever to go here on but it was actually preety amazing. Theres so many lizzards on the temple though but we like lizzards. Definitely something worth seeing especially as this temple is from 600AD they think. Amazing!!

- Sacred Cenote - We visited here on the same day as Chichen Itza as part of the same tour. This place was amazing and also hundred of years old. You go swimming in the coldest water ever in what looks like a cave under group and theres loads of tiny fish swimming around your feet but you can't touch the floor or even see the floor it goes on for that long underneath you. Breathtaking!! Must give a shout out to our amazing friend Chloe for doing this she hates swimming with fish and in unknown water but after a lot of convincing and probably dragging she did it, so proud.

- Jet Skis on the beach in front of our hotel.

- Drive your own speed boat through a lagoon - You get to drive through a lagoon where we saw crocodiles/aligators were not sure which one they where in the water around you. You get to go snorkelling in a coral reef when you get to the sea but we gave that a miss as poor Ray got a absess in his ear when we were in Mexico and had to go the hospital there and have a needle in it (Thank god for holiday insurance). Apparantly its common there as going in the water in the pools to then the beach water can affect it, learn something new every day.

- Hotel Club & Entertainment - We only ever went in the hotel club Pacha for a drink not for a nightout but it looked good in there. The hotel have different entertainment on each night too. One night it was some mexico celebrations and everyone was dressed up was preety fun.

Well we don't really know what else to say other than Cancun was amazing and we would definitely go back. Thanks to our too lovely friends for inviting us to go with them. Our hotel was amazing, see you soon Cancun x
